Clipping tool
A tool I built that finds the best moments in every Wayve Wire episode, turns them into YouTube Shorts and posts them on a schedule. No clipping by hand.

Too many good moments, not enough hours
Wayve Wire is a business and finance podcast with a new episode every Friday, and they asked me to make short-form clips.
Making each clip from scratch took too long, and the clipping software out there couldn't search for specific keywords or go through a whole archive in one go.
A clipping tool that runs itself
So I built my own, in Cursor with help from Claude. When a new episode goes up, the tool pulls it in, searches it for keywords and key moments, and cuts those moments into clips. Each clip gets accurate subtitles, gets reframed to vertical and gets its own headline. The tool also writes the YouTube description, with a link to the full episode, then puts the clip on a posting schedule for YouTube Shorts.
It went back through every past episode too, so there's a six-week queue of clips ready to choose from.
How it works
- A new episode goes up
- It finds the key moments
- It cuts the clips
- It adds subtitles
- It makes them vertical
- It writes the headline
- It writes the description, with a link to the full episode
- It schedules the posts
Five clips a day, without touching it
Once it was up and running, everything became automatic. It has made over 125 clips so far, and it posts five a day, Monday through Thursday.
